About this Collection

This 2025 omnibus collects the oversized Marvel comics of the 1970s, including Giant-Size X-Men #1, Giant-Size Fantastic Four #3, Giant-Size Avengers #1, and Giant-Size Spider-Man #1, among others. Featuring the iconic Dave Cockrum cover art, it showcases key stories that introduced major characters like Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Thunderbird to the X-Men, while also presenting epic battles and team-ups from Marvel's classic era. A must-have for fans of Bronze Age Marvel and Cockrum's dynamic artwork.

In "The Mind of the Monster!", Stan Lee and Jack Kirby deliver a pulse-pounding tale of science, betrayal, and the fragile line between man and monster. When the military captures Rick, Ross manipulates him into testing a rocket with the Hulk—only for Rick to discover the truth too late. With Dick Ayers' dynamic inks, Petra Goldberg's vivid colors, and Artie Simek's sharp lettering, this 2025 Giant-Size Marvel Omnibus issue captures a pivotal moment in the Hulk's legacy. The cover by Dave Cockrum adds a striking visual punch to a story where control and transformation collide.

The military captures Rick and Ross convinces him that they need the Hulk to test a new experimental rocket for national security. Rick tricks the jade giant into the capsule but once it is shot into space, he realizes that Ross deceived him to get rid of his foe. Rick overrides the programming and returns the rocket to earth but not before Banner (he transformed back to his human form when the rocket came into view of the sun) is doused with further radiation. The Hulk is now unable to revert to his human form and is under Rick's control but only while Rick remains awake.
