Caliban
Caliban is a pale, gaunt mutant who dwells in the underground tunnels beneath New York City as a member of the Morlocks, a community of outcasts whose appearances prevent them from living in the surface world. His mutant ability to sense and track other mutants makes him both a valuable ally and a dangerous hunter.
Born in the Bronze Age pages of The Uncanny X-Men #148 (1981) — courtesy of the legendary team of Chris Claremont, Dave Cockrum, and Josef Rubinstein — Caliban has spent over four decades carving out a singular, haunting place in the Marvel universe. He's a character of remarkable range, having moved through some of comics' most storied corners: the underground world of the Morlocks, the ranks of X-Factor and X-Force, and even the shadowed halls of the Hellfire Club. With 109 catalog appearances across titles like X-Factor and The Uncanny X-Men, and eight key issues to his name, Caliban is no background figure — he's a recurring presence whose longevity speaks for itself. Fans who love the grittier, more emotionally complex side of the X-Men corner of Marvel will find in Caliban a character well worth tracking down, one who has kept company with the likes of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Beast across some of the most celebrated runs in Bronze Age and beyond.
Powers. Hand-to-Hand Combat: Caliban was trained in unarmed combat by Iceman and Apocalypse.; Climbing: Caliban is a skilled climber.
