Civil War: X-Men #1
In the wake of the Civil War, Domino and Shatterstar arrive at the X-Mansion with a bold mission: free the 198 mutants held captive. Despite resistance from Bishop, Sentinel Squad One, and even the X-Men, they succeed in rescuing half the group and vanish into the shadows. With the government now abandoning neutrality, the four original X-Men prepare to hunt down the missing mutants, setting the stage for a high-stakes conflict. Written by David Hine and illustrated by Yanick Paquette, with inks by Serge LaPointe, colors by Stephane Peru, and letters by VC's Russ Wooton, this pivotal issue features a cover by Juan Doe.

With the Civil War raging and the fate of the world's few remaining mutants still in question, Domino and Shatterstar show up at X-Mansion to break the 198 out of their forced captivity. Despite the best efforts of the government forces led by Bishop, Sentinel Squad One and the X-Men themselves, they succeed and make off with about half of the mutants. The government makes plans to retrieve the 198 and the four original X-Men (that's "men" literally), forego their neutral status and commit to finding the missing mutants first.
