Civil War: X-Men #4
In the tense finale of their arc within the Civil War crossover, the X-Men race against the clock to rescue 198 trapped mutants from an Arizona bunker seconds from detonation. With Bishop and Sentinel Squad One holding the line, the team must breach an impenetrable door—only for Tony Stark, the door’s designer, to arrive unexpectedly with Ms. Marvel to help turn the tide. Written by David Hine and illustrated by Yanick Paquette, with inks by Serge LaPointe, colors by Stephane Peru, and letters by VC's Russ Wooton, this pivotal issue closes the X-Men’s story with a hard-won victory and a presidential pardon. The cover, by Juan Doe, captures the moment’s urgency in bold, striking detail.
