This black-and-white phone-book edition features key moments like the wedding of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, the debut of the New Mutants' mentor Magneto as X-Men leader, and the first full appearances of characters such as Callisto, Caliban, and the Marauders.
In "The Spiral Path," the X-Men find themselves caught between a city they're trying to protect and a force determined to bring them in—Freedom Force. With San Francisco now unsafe and old secrets about Rachel's past beginning to surface, a quiet moment with Lindsay and Jessica turns into a turning point. Written by Chris Claremont and brought to life by John Romita Jr. and Dan Green, the issue blends tense action with emotional weight, all under a cover by Romita Jr. and Green.
