Sergio Cariello

Sergio Cariello was born on April 23, 1964, in Brazil, and later became a naturalized American citizen. He is best known as a comic book artist whose clean, dynamic linework and expressive storytelling have graced major publishers including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, CrossGen, and Dynamite Entertainment. The younger brother of artist Octavio Cariello, he broke into the industry in the early 1990s and quickly established himself as a reliable penciler and inker.
Cariello’s most recognized work includes runs on *Azrael: Agent of the Bat* and *The Lone Ranger*, where his detailed period style brought the Old West to vivid life. He also contributed to *Deathstroke: The Hunted*, *The Iron Ghost*, *Black Lightning*, and the fantasy series *Crux*. His collaborations often paired him with writers such as Fabian Nicieza and Joe R. Lansdale, and his versatility allowed him to handle superhero action, historical adventure, and supernatural horror with equal skill.
