Azrael: Agent of the Bat #73
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis February 2001 issue opens the "Losses" three-part arc with a striking mosaic cover by Tony Harris and Ray Snyder, assembling a gallery of shadowy figures and symbols — Azrael's civilian identity front and center, flanked by the looming Azrael mask behind him, a watchful Batman at a console, a mysterious woman with tinted goggles, an eerie blue-skinned figure amid playing card suits, and unsettling imagery of brains, a bleeding hand, and a dripping vial. The fragmented, stained-glass composition gives the whole thing a tense, conspiratorial atmosphere that feels perfectly suited to a series about a hero navigating divided loyalties. With Dennis O'Neil writing and Sergio Cariello on interior art, this is a confident, moody entry in one of DC's more thoughtful late-era Batman-family titles.
