Azrael: Agent of the Bat #71

Part two of the "Prophet" trilogy arrives in this December 2000 installment of Azrael: Agent of the Bat, with a cover by Tony Harris and Ray Snyder that splits the image into two striking halves — Azrael looming in the upper portion in his armored crimson-and-silver suit, gauntleted hands raised, while a darkly cloaked figure and a prominent, grinning skull dominate the lower half. The contrast between Azrael's knightly vigilance and that ominous skull gives the composition a real sense of foreboding tension. Dennis O'Neil, Sergio Cariello, and James Pascoe keep this ongoing saga moving, and if the cover is any indication, the stakes in "Brothers" are anything but small.
