Deathstroke: The Hunted #41

Part two of "Deathstroke the Hunted" arrives with a cover by Scott McDaniel that sets an immediately tense mood: a gruff, yellow-jacketed figure pins a blue-and-yellow-costumed Deathstroke to the ground, while a looming red-and-gold armored adversary stands over them both, surrounded by eerie white smoke. With Marv Wolfman writing and Sergio Cariello on interior art, this 1994 DC issue promises the kind of gritty, layered action the series does so well. If the cover is any indication, Slade Wilson is in serious trouble — and the second chapter of a six-part arc is exactly where you want the stakes to feel this high.
