Issue three of this eight-part DC miniseries finds the infernal conflict heating up, as the cover by Justiniano puts Blue Devil — rendered in striking cerulean blue with golden horns — locked in a ferocious clash against a massive, mechanically grotesque opponent amid a storm of shattered debris. The header boldly frames this as Demon vs. Blue Devil, and the raw physicality of that collision leaps right off the page. With Keith Giffen writing and Tom Derenick on interiors, "War Is Hell" promises the kind of hellish power struggle that lives up to its title.
