Félix Mas

Félix Mas (born 1935) is a Spanish comic book artist and fine painter, best known for his lush, romantic illustrations that graced British romance comics in the 1960s and 70s. Born in Spain, Mas moved into comics after training in fine arts, bringing a painterly sensibility to panel work. His most prolific period ran from 1961 to 1977, during which he contributed to over 80 issues, primarily for titles like *Valentine*, *Jackie*, *Romeo*, *Roxy*, and *Love Story Picture Library*. His signature style—soft, expressive linework and delicate, atmospheric coloring—made him a standout in the romance genre, often collaborating with writers and editors at Fleetway and IPC. He is credited as artist and inker on many of these stories, which typically featured star-crossed lovers and emotional melodrama.
