“Money Made £ove”

In "Money Made £ove," Alvie finds herself unexpectedly moved by a film's emotional weight—only to feel isolated when Jed brushes off her tears. Stepping outside, she’s drawn to a stranger whose own sorrow seems genuine, offering a fleeting hope of connection. But the moment takes an unexpected turn when she learns his tears had nothing to do with the movie, and everything to do with the harsh reality of his day job. Art by Félix Mas, this poignant 1961 tale captures a quiet moment of emotional misreading with a touch of bittersweet truth.
