Petra was in love with her boss. When his secretary had to leave early one day, he asked the members of the typists' pool if any of them could take shorthand over the weekend at his place in Surrey. Petra volunteers just so she can be near him even though she doesn't know a thing about shorthand. The boss' cousin and business associate notices her plight and helps her get through the weekend. Later, at her boss' request, she hides the fact that a message has been received saying the cousin's father was alive until after he had signed a deal with her boss.
