Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon

514 appearances · Silver Age · 1965–2026 · 23 key issues
Who is Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon?

Born into Inhumanity after exposure to the mutagenic Terrigen Mists, Medusa developed prehensile, superhumanly strong hair she can control like a weapon. A member of the Inhuman Royal Family and queen consort to the silent Black Bolt, she serves as his voice and interpreter.

Few characters can claim a Marvel legacy as rich and enduring as Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon, who first swept onto the scene in Fantastic Four #36 in 1965, conjured by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby at the very height of the Silver Age. Over six remarkable decades — 405 catalog appearances, 23 of them collector-recognized key issues — she has proven herself one of Marvel's most resilient and fascinating figures, equally at home in the pages of Fantastic Four and The Inhumans. A proud member of both the Inhumans and the Fantastic Four, she keeps extraordinary company: the pages she inhabits crackle with the presence of Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, the Human Torch, and the enigmatic Black Bolt himself. If you're building a serious Marvel collection or simply want to explore a character whose presence has shaped the House of Ideas from the Silver Age to the present day, Medusalith Amaquelin Boltagon is absolutely essential reading.
