The alternate universe Jonathan Storm, aka Old Johnny, tells the new team and the FF that Doctor Doom, allied with Annihilus and Kang, caused the deaths of the rest of the Fantastic Four and that they will make their way to Earth in time. After a prank attack by the Yancy Gang, Scott tries to persuade Darla to return to the team. The four Moloids meet with the Mole Man, underground, and give him the Starheart in exchange for some bargain he kept with them. Scott tells the group they must eradicate Doctor Doom.
