When the Fantastic Four haven't returned after four minutes, the new team has to take care of business as Mole Man and his monstrous mount Giganto crash through the streets of New York. However, Darla Deering, despite being given a 'Thing' exo-skeleton, decides she needs to quit the team. Later, all watch as a portal in the sky activates and a Johnny Storm look-alike crashes through screaming he's alive and that the Fantastic Four are dead.
