Psycho

Skywald’s Psycho (1971–1975) was a black-and-white horror-comic magazine that ran for 24 issues, blending original shock tales with classic monster mayhem. The series is most closely associated with writers Al Hewetson and Alan Hewetson (often working under the pen name Sean Todd), alongside artists Sean Todd, Pablo Marcos, and Domingo, who brought a gritty, atmospheric edge to its pages. A recurring highlight was the inclusion of Victor Frankenstein and his creature, weaving the iconic duo into the magazine’s grim, psychodramatic narratives. Psycho mattered as a key entry in Skywald’s line of mature, pre-Code-style horror, offering a raw, unsettling alternative to the mainstream comics of its era.
