“Let the Dreamer Beware”

"Let the Dreamer Beware" delivers a surreal, atmospheric tale in Psycho #5 (1971), where the Frankenstein monster, after being bested by Quasimodo, is dragged beneath Paris by aquatic demons and must face their colossal octopus ruler, Le Suub. Meanwhile, Dr. Pretorius, wielding the still-living head of Dr. Frankenstein, pushes the scientist to forge a new creature in his image. Written and drawn by Sean Todd, with inks by Jack Abel and lettering by Irv Watanabe, the issue’s chilling tone is matched by Boris Vallejo’s striking cover art.
