Psycho #19 is an anthology featuring a special three-part origin saga of Count Dracula set in Dark Ages Romania, wherein the man known as Dracula was a monarch whose kingdom was taken from him, an alchemist who used forbidden methods to avoid premature burial, and a mad mass murderer whose name in Romanian means "Satan or Demon-on-Earth," who seeks revenge on the peasants who burned his castle. The issue also includes illustrated scenes and commentary on classic horror literature, discussing how works by authors such as Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, and Edgar Allan Poe have influenced horror cinema, and how their novels remain celebrated despite their authors having died before film was invented.
