About the series
In the 1940s, Eastern Color’s Jingle Jangle Comics offered a cheerful, whimsical escape across 42 issues, blending holiday spirit with everyday fantasy. The series is best remembered for the playful work of George Carlson, who wrote and drew many of its stories, alongside artists David Tendlar and Charles Bange. Its recurring heroes—including the candy-themed Captain Tootsie, the mischievous Rollo, and a jolly Santa Claus—embodied the lighthearted, child-friendly charm that made this title a cozy staple of the Golden Age.
