"Hansel and Gretel" follows the classic fairy tale characters as they encounter a witch who has spirited them away to a forest, leading them on a desperate chase to locate her hideout. Another story, titled "Hortense," depicts a girl watching television who becomes fascinated by a performer on the small screen, then discovers technical aspects of television broadcasting. A third story involves King Hokum, who is tied up in an artist's studio when someone steals a royal portrait from an easel; King Bunkum later arrives to investigate a burglary, ultimately delivering a knockout blow to apprehend the culprit.
Three young jimcracks named Jasper, Casper, and Marmaduke own a brand-new parsley-plated steam-roller, but when Marmaduke accidentally sets it in motion while the other two are away, the runaway roller barrels straight through a castle and into trouble. Now the three must navigate a castle full of danger, rescue a kidnapped princess, and reunite before the night is through.
