One story involves a winter kite-flying adventure where a character demonstrates aerial stunts on a snowy landscape. Another tale features a dispute over a paper corner between two boys that escalates into a boxing match proposal. A third story follows characters trying to prevent a revolt led by anthropomorphic shoe heels using gooey glue. The final visible story shows a character named Mr. Dinsmore arriving at a swap shop for his birthday, where he accidentally steps on and destroys a birthday cake, leading to comedic misadventures.
When Hortense visits the shoemaker's shop for a simple heel repair, she finds herself caught in the middle of an all-out war between the shop's shoe parts—heels determined to steal soles, while tongues, tacks, polish, and an awl mount a desperate defense. With the rebellious heels commanding giant machines and Hortense caught in the crossfire, it'll take all the loyal shoe components working together to save her from being ground to pieces.
Sleepy Yollo the Bedless Norseman follows a mighty Norse warrior who sells his enchanted bed to King Tooki and soon regrets the decision. When Yollo loses his magical strength without his bed, he finds himself in grave danger—until his old bed, transformed into a dragon-ship, returns to rescue him and restore his power for a final confrontation with the treacherous king.
