☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains multiple stories, including one featuring a generous Santa Claus figure who evicts a woman and her children from their home due to unpaid rent, but then has a change of heart and provides them shelter and gifts for the holidays. Another story involves a group of children on an outing in nature who encounter rain and mud but find joy in the experience. A third tale features the Khabb, a magical character at an exotic palace who is repeatedly sent on errands by the Zulteen, with the youngest Zulteen secretly tying a string to the Khabb to follow and discover his secrets.
Aunty Spry convinces a group of children to abandon their stick ball game and enjoy the wonders of spring in the great outdoors—but nature has other plans, throwing hornets, bulls, bears, porcupines, and skunks in their path as the outing spirals into hilarious chaos. When brainpower finally saves the day, Aunty learns that sometimes the simple pleasures of city life beat nature's unpredictable surprises.
In the fair city of Grabhag, the Zheckered Zultan sends his three sons on errands involving a vanilla-flavored crown and borrowed money—but a mysterious green-whiskered khabbi driver has other plans. When the youngest Zulteen spots trouble and calls in the royal police, the whole scheme unravels in a race to rescue his family and recover the kingdom's missing treasury. A rollicking tale of quick thinking and crooked schemes foiled by good timing.
