Ana Kravinoff has captured Spider-Man and is preparing him for a lethal hunt, but she has mistakenly identified Spider-Man as Peter's roommate Vin Gonzales. Finding Spider-Man a little weaker than she supposed, Ana shoots him up with mutant growth hormone. With his costume and his roommate both missing, Peter borrows a Daredevil costume from Matt Murdock and heads into the sewer looking for his friend. While Ana releases "Spider-Man" for her hunt, Peter is viciously attacked by Vermin and fears he will not reach Vin in time to save his life.
