Jughead's Double Digest #181
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeWith a chalkboard reading "TEST TODAY!" looming in the background, Jughead sits sheepishly at his desk as a horseshoe, four-leaf clover, and lucky charm bracelet spill out of his bag — earning him a scolding from a teacher while Archie and Betty look on. Samm Schwartz's cover art captures that perfectly relatable mix of optimism and under-preparedness that makes Jughead such an endearing character. This 2012 digest packs in a great lineup of stories, including the aptly titled "Luck, Flee a Lady," promising plenty of Riverdale charm for the $3.99 price tag.

Archie walks by Jughead's back yard, where Jughead is lying in a hammock, making strange motions with his hand. When Archie asks him what he's doing, Jughead responds that he's practicing for that night's championship. Archie walks off, assuming Jughead was giving him a silly answer due to his silly question. In the last panel, we see Jughead at the Valley Pinball Championship, using the same motion he was practicing earlier to pull the plunger on the pinball machine.
