Archie and Me #121
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA backpacking trip goes hilariously sideways on the cover of this 1980 entry in the long-running series, where two hikers — one cheerfully declaring that backpacking lets them "observe wilderness animals" — come face to face with a very large, very unimpressed bear. The two-panel cover, penciled by Stan G. and inked by Jon D'Agostino, delivers the punchline beautifully in the lower scene, where the same duo has scrambled up a tree while a whole menagerie of wildlife — bear, ram, raccoon, owl, rabbit, and skunk — gathers below with the rejoinder "And vice versa!" It's the kind of warm, good-natured humor that made Archie and Me a reliable favorite.
