About this Collection

This third volume of Marvel's Essential series collects issues #75-100 of the original Marvel Team-Up series, featuring Spider-Man teaming up with a rotating cast of Marvel heroes, including Iron Man. The stories pit the web-slinger and his partners against villains like Whiplash (Marco Scarlotti), delivering action-packed Bronze Age adventures in black-and-white format.

In "Danger: Demon on a Rampage," Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man join forces to stop the Super-Skrull, who's hunting a mysterious crystal capable of hyperspace travel. The duo tracks the alien menace to a ship at sea, where they uncover the antiques dealer’s hidden cabin—and the source of the Super-Skrull’s power. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Dave Hunt and lettering by Gaspar Saladino and John Costanza, the issue features a dynamic cover by Byrne and Bob Layton.

Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man team up to stop the Super-Skrull. The would-be alien conqueror is looking for a crystal that enables hyperspace travel, and he locates it on a ship at sea, in the cabin of an antiques dealer. Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel discover that Super-Skrull is powered by an extremely powerful energy beam from outer space and uses this energy and the crystal to send Super-Skrull off-planet.
