This 1987 reprint package from Marvel's long-running anthology series pairs an exciting Spider-Man and Thor team-up with a bonus Spider-Ham adventure at no extra charge. The cover, penciled by John Byrne and inked by Tom Palmer, makes an immediate impression: a massive, glowing-eyed Living Monolith dominates the composition while Spider-Man clings to the giant's arm and Thor swoops in from the right, hammer at the ready. The bold cover blurb — "When Walks the Living Monolith!" — perfectly captures the grand, city-spanning scale of the interior story "Whom Gods Destroy!" written by Chris Claremont with art by John Byrne.
