“Three Into Two Won't Go!”

In "Three Into Two Won't Go!", the Thing finds himself locked in combat with Basilisk in the Savage Land—only for the villain to teleport them both into the heart of New York City. Spidey, just back from a time-jumping adventure, arrives to find the Hudson River erupting with lava, and a city in peril as Basilisk prepares to finish what he started. Written by Bill Mantlo and brought to life with dynamic art by Sal Buscema, Mike Esposito, and Dave Hunt, with inks by Esposito and Hunt and letters by Gaspar Saladino and Jean Hipp, this 2006 issue delivers a high-stakes clash of strength and cunning. The cover, penciled and inked by Jim Starlin, captures the chaos in bold, dramatic strokes.
