About this Collection

This first volume of the Batman Eternal series, part of DC's New 52 era, collects the opening chapters of a weekly epic that unfolds across Gotham City. As a massive conspiracy threatens to dismantle Batman's world, a new villain emerges while familiar allies and foes are drawn into a citywide crisis. The story sets the stage for a year-long saga involving the entire Bat-family and a web of corruption reaching into every corner of Gotham.

In "Injustice for All," Gotham’s chaos deepens as Catwoman strikes again—this time targeting Falcone’s men—and Batman finds himself pulled into a global web when he crosses paths with the Japanese Batman in Hong Kong. With Falcone demanding answers and Forbes torn between two threats, the hunt for the truth leads Batman to Shen Fang’s compound, where a mysterious attack leaves a victim in the shadows—and a surprising ally in the form of Julia Pennyworth. Meanwhile, Catwoman’s latest heist lands her in Falcone’s grasp, setting the stage for a city-wide game of cat and mouse. Written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, John Layman, Ray Fawkes, and Tim Seeley, with art by Guillem March and colors by Tomeu Morey, this issue’s bold narrative is anchored by Jason Fabok’s striking cover.
