Cliff Robinson
Cliff Robinson is a British comic book artist best known for his long-running work with the anthology *2000 AD*, where he contributed as an artist, colorist, and inker across dozens of issues from the mid-1980s onward. Born in the United Kingdom, Robinson’s career in comics began in the 1980s, and he became a regular presence in the pages of *2000 AD* and its sister publication, the *Judge Dredd Megazine*. His clean, dynamic linework and expressive storytelling made him a reliable hand on a variety of strips, most notably *Judge Dredd* and *Devlin Waugh: Swimming in Blood*. Robinson often collaborated with writers such as John Wagner and Alan Grant, helping to visualize the satirical, high-energy world of Mega-City One. While he is not typically credited as a co-creator of major characters, his steady, professional work helped define the look of many *2000 AD* stories during the 1990s and 2000s. Later in his career, Robinson continued to contribute to the anthologies *2000 AD Extreme Edition* and *2000 AD Presents*, as well as special projects like the *2000 AD Free Comic Book Day* issue. His legacy is that of a versatile and dependable artist who helped sustain one of comics’ most iconic series.
