This April 2002 prog from Britain's Eagle Award-winning anthology puts Judge Dredd front and center in spectacular fashion — Cliff Robinson's cover depicts the armored lawman firing his Lawgiver point-blank into a suited android, whose eye socket erupts in a dramatic shower of sparks and debris. The tagline "Socket to 'Em!" says it all, promising eye-popping android action that's equal parts dark humor and high-voltage thrills. With John Wagner writing and Paul Marshall on art and inks for the interior Dredd story "Escape from Atlantis Part 2," Prog 1286 is a fine slice of Mega-City mayhem.
