Tombstone
Lonnie Lincoln grew up an albino outcast in Harlem, using his imposing size and fearsome appearance to become a ruthless enforcer and street-level killer for hire. He eventually rose through the criminal underworld to serve powerful mob figures, including the Kingpin, cementing his reputation as one of New York's most dangerous hired muscle.
Tombstone is one of Marvel's enduring street-level threats, a Copper Age creation who stepped out of the shadows in Nomad #4 in 1992, courtesy of Fabian Nicieza and Pat Olliffe, and has never really left. Over more than three decades and 139 catalog appearances, this imposing figure has carved out a permanent place in Marvel's gritty urban corners, haunting the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil most frequently β which tells you everything about the dangerous company he keeps. Sharing storylines with Peter Parker, Matt Murdock, and Wilson Fisk himself puts Tombstone squarely in the thick of Marvel's street-crime power struggles, rubbing shoulders with some of the most formidable players in New York's underworld. With a key issue to his name and a publishing run stretching all the way to 2026, he's proven himself far more than a one-arc wonder β a fixture worth tracking down for any fan who loves their Marvel comics with a hard, uncompromising edge.
