Kenuichio Harada is a Japanese mutant born into the noble Clan Yashida whose power generates a tachyon energy field he channels through his katana, making the blade capable of cutting almost anything. A supremely skilled samurai, he hired himself out as the Silver Samurai, initially working for criminal employers before his complex ties to the X-Men and Clan Yashida brought him onto the world stage.
