“The Five Swords of Secrets”

In "The Five Swords of Secrets," Kitty Pryde faces a pivotal choice: freedom over leadership. With the dragons held captive, she agrees to retrieve a second Sword of Secrets from the ancestral heir of Clan Yashida—the Silver Samurai—putting her skills and resolve to the ultimate test. Written by Akira Yoshida and illustrated with striking detail by Paul Smith, whose dynamic cover captures the tension of the moment, this issue deepens Kitty’s journey through shadow and flame.

Kitty decides she'd rather have her freedom than lead the Path of Destiny. In order for her and the dragons, now hostages, to be released, Kitty offers to get the Path a second Sword of Secrets from Clan Yashida. Nao accepts her offer so now all Kitty needs to do is take the sword away from its ancestral owner, the Silver Samurai.
