Who is Fandral?

Fandral the Dashing is an Asgardian warrior and founding member of the Warriors Three, Thor's celebrated band of adventurers. Renowned across the Nine Realms as a peerless swordsman and irresistible charmer, he has spent centuries honing his blade skills and accompanying Thor on countless epic quests.

Few characters capture the swashbuckling heart of Marvel's Asgard quite like Fandral, who leapt onto the scene in Journey into Mystery #122 in 1965, conjured by the legendary duo of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby at the very height of the Silver Age. Over an extraordinary six-decade run — 263 appearances deep, with ten collector-recognized key issues to his name — this dashing Asgardian has proven himself one of Marvel's most enduring mythological players, appearing most prominently across the pages of Thor, Thor Annual, and the recent Immortal Thor. He keeps remarkable company, sharing adventures with Thor Odinson, Loki, Odin, Balder, and Sif, placing him at the very center of Marvel's grand Norse tapestry issue after issue. If you love the epic, romantic grandeur of Asgard as only Marvel can tell it, Fandral is absolutely worth your time.
