About the series
In the wake of DC’s Countdown and Final Crisis, Trinity (2008–2009) anchored the publisher’s weekly series format on its three greatest icons: Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. Written primarily by Kurt Busiek and Fabian Nicieza, with dynamic, rotating art from Mark Bagley, Scott McDaniel, and Tom Derenick, the 52-issue saga explored what happens when an ancient, malevolent force targets the trio’s unique bond and the very concept of heroism itself. By weaving the Man of Steel, the Amazon Princess, and the Dark Knight into a single, epic narrative, the series reaffirmed why these three characters remain the foundation of the DC Universe.
