Wonder Woman is front and center on this July 2008 installment of DC's weekly Trinity series, her golden lasso coiling around a massive, blue-skinned brute as she drives him into a rubble-strewn ground with fierce determination. The cover art by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Merino crackles with kinetic energy — the lasso's glowing loops, the villain's snarling grimace, and Diana's warrior intensity all combine to make this one hard to set down. With Busiek and Nicieza both at the helm, issue #5 promises the kind of layered storytelling that made this ambitious weekly series a standout in 2008.
