“Those We Have Lost”

DC's weekly Trinity series reaches its 28th chapter with a cover by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Merino that carries real ceremonial weight: a determined procession of robed, blue-skinned figures marches forward bearing enormous flags emblazoned with the symbols of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, as if the Trinity itself has become something closer to a religion in their world. The tripled logos above — Superman's "S," Wonder Woman's wings, and Batman's cowl — reinforce that sense of myth and devotion beautifully. Kurt Busiek and Fabian Nicieza keep the weekly momentum strong here, with additional art from Tom Derenick and Wayne Faucher rounding out what looks to be a genuinely compelling installment titled "Those We Have Lost.
