Trinity #36
DC's weekly Trinity series reaches issue #36 with a cover by Shane Davis and Richard Friend that packs in an impressive roster of heroes and villains. Dominating the foreground, the Flash surges forward while Green Arrow draws his bow and Hawkman swoops overhead with wings spread wide — and lurking at the edge is a snarling Cheetah, claws at the ready. Looming above it all is a striking, ethereal vision of Wonder Woman rendered in cool blue tones, her tiara gleaming as the combined Superman-Batman-Wonder Woman emblem blazes behind her. With Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley driving the "God War" storyline in 2009, this is a visually ambitious chapter of one of DC's most ambitious weekly experiments.
