Trinity #30
Issue thirty of DC's weekly Trinity saga presents one of the series' most striking images: a towering monument depicting Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman rendered as divine figures atop a grand cathedral, with a glowing object raised aloft by Wonder Woman at the pinnacle. A crowd of devotees gathers below, and a Superman-emblazoned flag waves in the foreground, suggesting these three heroes have been elevated to something approaching mythic reverence in their world. The cover — penciled by Carlos Pacheco and inked by Jesús Merino — beautifully captures the epic, almost religious scope that Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley's weekly series has been building toward by issue thirty.
