“The Hammer Falls [Part 1]”

In "The Hammer Falls [Part 1]," the Fantastic Four are summoned to Oklahoma when a mysterious object crashes to Earth—only to find themselves caught in a high-stakes battle between an army of Doombots, the enigmatic Doctor Doom, and the sudden arrival of a weapon long thought lost: Thor’s hammer. J. Michael Straczynski’s gripping story, illustrated with dynamic precision by Mike McKone and brought to life with bold inks by Andy Lanning, Kev Walker, Cam Smith, and Kris Justice, kicks off a cosmic chain of events that redefines the line between hero and god. The cover by Olivier Coipel and Mark Morales captures the moment’s thunderous weight, setting the stage for a saga where even the mightiest legends are tested.

Reed tells Sue of a meeting he has had with the Illuminati concerning superhuman registration. A mysterious object has fallen to earth in Oklahoma and the Fantastic Four are called in to keep an army of Doombots from retrieving it. Things get more complicated when Doom himself joins in the struggle. And to complicate matters even further still, the object in question turns out to be the hammer of Thor.
