Thor strides forward with quiet, steely purpose on this striking 2007 cover by Olivier Coipel and Mark Morales — winged helm, scarlet cape billowing, Mjolnir in hand — while a ring of looming silhouetted figures closes in around him from the shadows. The tension is palpable, suggesting a Thunder God who answers no one's summons but his own. With J.
