The Incredible Hulk #216
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this October 1977 Marvel issue says it all: the Hulk and the double-headed Bi-Beast are locked in savage combat atop what the cover copy tells us is the plummeting S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, miles above the Earth, with explosions and debris flying in every direction. Al Milgrom and Ernie Chan deliver a visceral, vertigo-inducing image that puts the sheer scale of the danger front and center — there's a whole lot of sky and a very long way down. With Len Wein scripting and Sal Buscema on interior art, "Countdown to Catastrophe!" promises exactly the kind of high-altitude, all-out brawl that made the Hulk's late-'70s run such a thrill to follow.
