As flaming arrows mark each step through the Forest Perilous, the SK evades deadly ambushes—on a bridge, within a ring of fire—before outwitting his foe with a clever ruse using a sapling-snare and a small fire. With Edwin accusing Squire Brian of being the SK, the arrows fly back to the castle, leaving the knight’s identity still hidden.
