The Amazing Spider-Man #544
In "One More Day Part 1," Peter Parker is pushed to his limits as he struggles to afford Aunt May’s care while she remains in a coma. Desperate, he confronts Iron Man—now an enemy due to Spider-Man’s unregistered status—only to find Tony refuses direct help, fearing exposure. The issue’s emotional weight is matched by Joe Quesada’s dynamic art and Danny Miki’s sharp inks, with Richard Isanove’s colors adding depth to the tense, high-stakes drama.

Peter finds that he is quickly running out of funds to take care of the comatose Aunt May and he faces having to put her in the charity ward of the hospital. He seeks out Iron Man, who has become one of his greatest enemies, and demands that he pay for Aunt May's care. As they battle, Tony tells Peter that he cannot offer financial assistance as it could be traced back to him and Spider-Man is currently considered an unregistered criminal. He later provides funds to Jarvis, however, who is sweet on Aunt May and shows up at the hospital with a very large check to pay her medical bills.
