In "The Sovereign and the Savages," Namor finds himself imprisoned on Skull Island, held captive by the ruthless Plunderer, who seeks to recruit the Sub-Mariner with a vibra-gun forged from Plunderstone. When the savage Swamp Men launch a surprise assault, Namor seizes the chance to break free as the Plunderer’s base burns around him. Though he escapes the flames, he fails to stop the villain from fleeing in his submarine—now set on vengeance against Atlantis.

In "The Legions of: The Living Lightning," the Hulk, after rescuing a downed pilot, finds himself captured and manipulated by the radical militia known as the Living Lightning. With his strength turned against him, he’s driven toward a nearby army camp, where his rage may be the only thing that can break the mind control—though not before he’s forced to confront the cost of his own power.
