About this Collection

This second volume in DC's Showcase Presents series collects classic Silver Age Flash stories from the mid-1960s, featuring the Scarlet Speedster's adventures in issues of The Flash and other titles. The black-and-white, phone-book-sized edition reprints tales by writer John Broome and artist Carmine Infantino, including the introduction of the Reverse-Flash and other key Rogues Gallery members. It offers a budget-friendly way to experience the early exploits of Barry Allen as the Fastest Man Alive.

In "Land of Golden Giants!", Barry Allen brings his dazzling speed to a Central City community center—only to be whisked away to Keystone City, the forgotten home of the original Flash, Jay Garrick. There, Barry discovers Jay lives on a parallel Earth, and when a sudden crime wave threatens the city, the two Flashes must team up before chaos spreads further. Written by Gardner Fox and brought to life with dynamic art by Carmine Infantino and inks by Joe Giella, this classic tale features a striking cover by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson.
