“The Reign of the Super-Gorilla!”

In "The Reign of the Super-Gorilla!", Gorilla Grodd, masquerading as William Dawson, escapes prison and returns to Gorilla City, where he undergoes a transformation fueled by neo-magnetic radiation—turning his fellow apes into devoted followers. With his newfound power to make anyone fall in love with him, Grodd sets his sights on Central City, aiming to win the governorship through charm alone. Written by John Broome and brought to life with dynamic art by Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella, this 1962 classic sees the Flash confront the bizarre menace using an unexpected countermeasure. The cover, also by Infantino and Giella, captures Grodd’s menacing charisma in bold, striking detail.
