Savage Dragon #73 kicks off "End of the World" with a cover that sets an uneasy, foreboding tone — Dragon himself, green-skinned and fin-headed, scrambles across a tiled floor while a dark, bubble-dissolving silhouette looms menacingly on the right half of the image. Erik Larsen's cover art splits the composition almost like a before-and-after, hinting at a threat that could unravel everything the fin-headed hero knows. Part one of three, this March 2000 issue promises a story arc with real stakes right from the first glance.
